Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

WhatsApp Business Suite provides software that helps businesses communicate with their customers over the official WhatsApp Business Platform (the WhatsApp Cloud API operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.). We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. or WhatsApp LLC.

2. The information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number, password (stored in hashed form) and organisation/workspace details.
• Business & WhatsApp information — your WhatsApp Business Account details, phone number ID, display name, message templates and business profile that you connect through Meta’s official onboarding.
• Contact data you upload — the names, phone numbers, attributes, tags and opt-in status of the customers you choose to import and message. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and valid opt-in for this data.
• Message content — the content of messages, media and templates you send and receive through the Service in order to deliver, display and log your conversations.
• Payment information — billing details and transaction records when you top up your wallet or purchase a plan. Card and payment-instrument details are processed by our third-party payment providers and are not stored by us.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

• Usage & log data — actions you take in the Service, timestamps, feature usage and campaign statistics.
• Device & technical data — IP address, browser type, device information and similar diagnostics used for security and reliability.

3. How we use information

• To provide, operate, maintain and secure the Service;
• To connect your account to the WhatsApp Business Platform and send/receive messages on your instruction;
• To process payments, manage your wallet balance and prevent fraud;
• To provide analytics, delivery reporting and customer support;
• To communicate service, security and account notices to you;
• To improve and develop the Service; and
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. WhatsApp / Meta data and your responsibilities

When you use the Service to message your customers, you are the controller of your customers’ personal data and WhatsApp Business Suite acts as a processor that handles that data on your behalf and on your instructions. You are responsible for obtaining valid opt-in and consent from your contacts, for honouring opt-out requests, and for complying with the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and all applicable laws. Data exchanged with WhatsApp is also subject to Meta’s own terms and privacy policies.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:

• With Meta / WhatsApp — to deliver your messages through the official WhatsApp Business Platform.
• With service providers (sub-processors) — hosting, cloud infrastructure, media storage, email and payment providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• For legal reasons — where required by law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of WhatsApp Business Suite, our users or the public.
• In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and keep the Service secure. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect how the Service works.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

8. Data security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and secure infrastructure — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to grieve about our handling of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@strold.in.

11. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
